by | Nov 3, 2020 | Bathroom Tips, General News, Helpful Tips

There are now a wide variety of different bathroom radiator ideas available with something to suit all sizes of bathrooms and budgets. As well as being practical a bathroom radiator can be chosen as a design statement, as well as a practical radiator to heat your towels on!

In our Exmouth bathroom showrooms we have bathroom and towel radiators on display to help you visualise what would look good in your existing or new bathroom. Our expert staff can advise you on the type and size best suited for your needs.

Below are a five things to consider when choosing a radiator for your bathroom or cloakroom. All the images are of radiators we have fitted or on display in our bathroom showrooms in Exmouth.

1. What size of bathroom radiator will I need?

The size of the radiator you need will for your bathroom depends on the size of the room. Too large and it will dominate the space – too small and it will not have sufficient heat when the weather is cold. Bathroom radiators are available in a variety of sizes and shapes so there will be something to fit your room.

2. What material is best for a bathroom radiator?

It’s important to choose a good quality radiator that will not rust in the damp atmosphere of a bathroom. High quality chrome is a good choice, but different metal styles are available along with coloured radiators.

3. How much heat output will I need?

The heat output required will, of course, depend on the size of your bathroom and this can be calculated by us at Simon Turner Showrooms. This is important if the towel radiator is the only source of heat in the room. If you have another heat source in the room, such as under floor heating, then you may not need so much heat output.

4. Space for storage of towels

You will need to consider how many and the size of the towels you will use with the radiator. As towel radiators are available in different shapes, there should be something to suit your needs.

5. Choosing the best radiator design for the style of your bathroom.

There are a lot of different styles of bathroom radiator to choose from and your choice will depend on whether your bathroom is contemporary or traditional, its size, and whether you want the radiator to blend in or be a design feature of the room.

Finally, bathroom towel rails and radiators should be installed by professional engineers for your own safety and to avoid any mistakes which could be costly. So – when you’re choosing the right bathroom radiator make sure you also choose the right way to fit it and of course our bathroom fitting team can install it safely for you.
