Our History
In 1988 Simon Turner started out as a self-employed gas engineer working in Exmouth, Devon in the South West of England and supplying gas and electric fires in Somerset, Devon and Cornwall. Since then Simon has worked continuously to build up his business and reputation to become one of the South West’s leading gas appliance supplier, fitter and servicer for the whole of the South West of England supplying, fitting and repairing all gas, electric and other fuel appliances for the household including fires, cookers and bathrooms.



Now Simon Turner Gas has 17 employees, a modern showroom that displays hundreds of products - stock that is updated regularly - and a thriving business that has gained itself an excellent reputation and consistently exceeds customers' expectations. Serving the surrounding area close to Exmouth (including Exeter; Newton Abbott; Torquay; Sidmouth; Budleigh Salterton; Seaton; Lyme Regis; Crediton; Honiton; Tiverton; Teignmouth; Tavistock; Dawlish and Paignton), Simon Turner Gas provides a full range of products and services including gas and electric fires which can be delivered to the whole of the UK.

Fully Qualified Engineers
All of our engineers are fully qualified and we are registered with CORGI - the national watchdog for gas safety in the United Kingdom. Our Electrical Engineers are also all NICEIC approved ensuring that all electrical installations that we provide are of the best quality and adhere to all safety regulations.
Within our showroom we have qualified sales staff ready to assist you with all of your queries and we are registered with RETRA - the Radio, Electrical and Television Retailers’ Association - and are conscious of our obligations to all of our customers.
We also fit SOLID FUEL fires and fireplaces - and as such are recognised by HETAS - the official body recognised by government to Approve solid fuel domestic heating appliances, fuels and services.

CORGI Registered Engineers
People working with gas need to have the appropriate training and experience. CORGI registered installers have to undergo at least the minimum requirement of training before they are accepted on to the CORGI register. Most have significantly more training. The training and assessments that registered gas installers have are not only about the technical know-how of specific appliances but also about safety. All assessments have to be renewed every five years in order to keep installers up to date with ever-changing standards and regulations and to keep their knowledge fresh. All Simon Turner Gas engineers are CORGI registered in respect of gas-fired installations.
